Debbie Smith, M.A.

Debbie Smith, M.A. is a Career & Personal Development Coach & Consultant. In addition, she serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Women in Medicine, a non-profit organization which provides resources and guidance for women in medical training and practice. As a Career & Personal Development Coach, Debbie works with individuals who desire guidance and feedback as they make decisions about career, relationships, life transitions, and/or personal development. In addition, Debbie serves as a Consultant in the areas of organizational development and relationship management. Through a process of interviews and organizational assessment, Debbie provides a process for evaluating the effectiveness of existing relational and organizational processes and guiding the development of appropriate plans for enhanced effectiveness. As the Executive Director for the Center for Women in Medicine, she teaches an elective course at Vanderbilt Medical School for first and second year students about decision-making, provides mentoring and coaching for medical students and resident physicians, and speaks at various women in medicine conferences around the country.
